I made this journal for my Moth-in-law for Christmas. Designed it on MDS and then had it printed by Stampin' Up! It looks so good! 80 lined pages with a ribbon bookmark attached. You can personalize this in so many ways.

A friend of mine walked past this book sitting in my living room and looked at me and said in amazement, " your kids are on a book!"

I said yes and showed her exactly what it was.

You can tailor them to any occasion or retreat or event.

Here is a cute idea for a gift bag. I made these for my kids to give as teacher gifts for Christmas. We dipped Oreos in white chocolate and put them inside.

These were all made with DSP I had on hand. They are made from a 12x12 sheet of paper.

You can make much smaller ones with 6x6 paper and put a lipstick or lip balm inside.

The rosette I made with the New Simply Scoring tool.

The design ideas from this is endless, you can change the way of closing many many ways.

So here are some of the cards I have designed for my Christmas card classes this year. There will probably be more coming as I get more time, but this is the theme I am going for. I am loving this new Stamp set that is in the Holiday Mini. The Sounding Joy.

Here are the dates for card classes:

October 27, 7 pm

November 8, 7pm

November 14, 10 am

Cost is $2 a card or 10 for $18 or 20 for $35.

There are 5 spots per class.

What I have been up to lately

This is a technique that does take a little practice, but once you get it, you can make a few cards at once.

Colors used: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie

This was a little bit easier to do

Colors used: Tempting Turquoise, Not Quite Navy, Basic Black

Fun, simple, cute is how I would describe this card/

All scraps, such a good way to use them up!

So here is my latest card stack made from a great kit that you can only get now during Sale-a-bration. When you order $60 you can get this for free. This is not a regular order item. Once Sale-a-bration is over , this paper pack is gone too!

This pack comes with 9 sheets of designer papers and 2 sheets of accents (stickers). I used a lot of my own stamps and punches to make this kit go along way. I only used 3 sheets of the printed paper and 1 sheet of stickers out of the kit.

So here's the deal, if you would like to make this card stack all you have to do is put an order in for $60 through me, order this as your free item and for $5 I will personally show you how to make these cards using all the extras you see in this picture that are not in your kit.

I finally got back to stamping. I was at a craft retreat this last weekend. I don't usually get much done when I am there as Demonstrator, which is fine because I get to talk and interact more with everyone there. I seem to be ready to go at home after I get home and unload all my stuff. So I sat down and created this Thinking of you card.

I know I had a post about moving my blog to just my online store. I find it easier to actually post projects this way. I want to have a school Valentine class where you will make simple valentines for your kids to hand out to their classmates. If you are interested please let me know.

Retired Lists

The list for retired items just came out today. These are while supplies last and the event ends June 30. All the links to the lists are on the left side. I will hopefully be putting an order in late this week and one towards the end of June.

Most of their punches are being reconfigured, which means they are coming back but in the new style.

Christmas Card Stack

I had a lot of fun this year with the Christmas cards. I really liked the kit Stampin'Up! had. The kit is called Christmas Jingle. I think the colors are really contemporary and classic at the same time.

So I did a card class this week. It was my first official one as a demonstrator. I really have to thank Maxine for letting me use her house. She did such a great job decorating , now I am in the Christmas mood!

We made 20 cards and 2 treat bags from half the Christmas Jingle kit. The treat bags were cut out by my Stampin'Up! Big Shot with the scallop bag template. They are the perfect size for a gift card.

For some reason I ordered 1 extra kit for the card class , so if anyone is interested in purchasing it , you can call me.

Big Shot

Stampin' Up! has teamed up with Sizzix. And came out with the Big Shot. It is a die cutter and embosser. What is great is that all the dies and embossing folders coordinate with stamps in their catalogues.

Well...I just ordered one. I looked forward to learning all the uses for this little machine. I also look forward in demonstrating it and showing all of you how much fun it can be. I am quite excited about some of the other little projects you can make with it. Like pillow boxes and match stick boxes.

So if you are coming to the Redberry retreat I hope to have a little demonstration ready! I also will be demonstrating it in upcoming card classes and Workshops.

I have been pondering making a blog of this sort for a while. I have been making cards for about 7 years and recently became a Stampin'Up! demonstrator. I decided this was a good time to share some of my ideas with you or pass along some great ideas I have come across.
